Independent of system of record, the Center can parse and cleanse your data to make it more useful and accurate in the analysis and modeling processes. Additionaly, depending on your business needs, your raw data can be prepared in a format that is most efficient for performing analysis and customized reporting.
Predictive Modeling and Custom Scorecards:
Building customized scorecards and predictive behavior modeling is the key building block of many businesses. The Center's experience and knowledge is based around years of creating such models. Whether creating new business products/channels or enhancing existing ones, the Center works directly with you to create effective scorecards and models for any line of business.
Data Mining and Analysis:

Dr. Thomas Brandenburger
Founding Partner
Dr. Brandenburger brings over 15 years of leadership, technology, and analytical experience to the team. Dr Brandenburger was a commissioned officer in the US Navy holding the rank of Lieutenant Commander. On both active duty and as a reservist he held several key positions. He was an instructor and department head at the US Navy Nuclear Power School, he was an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran, and has held the position of Commanding Officer for a Naval Security Force unit. He has been an IT consultant for Perot Systems and held key IT roles at Dakota State University. Dr Brandenburger has been a researcher and consultant in predictive analytics and currently is Assistant Professor of Statistics at South Dakota State University where he has custom designed and teaches courses in Predictive Analytics.
Dr. Alfred Furth
Dr. Alfred Furth brings over 11 years of Predictive Analytical and Biostatistical experience to the group. He has been published numerous times including his own self-directed research in predictive modeling and clinical trial analysis. His extensive knowledge and experience with analytical tools and techniques began during his work at the Mayo Clinic where he was an integral player in the workings of the Cancer Research Center. His transition to the world of finance has given him insight into Data Mining and predictive modeling techniques that can be used to propel any business to its next level and enhance profitability. Dr. Furth received his PhD. in statistics from South Dakota State University.
John C. Folkerts
President+Partner
Mr. Folkerts brings over 23 years of business knowledge and experience to the team, primarily in the financial services industry. He was instrumental in the development and implementation of early card-based stored value systems in the United Stated. He gained his experience while being a leader at Marriott, Special Teams Inc., American Express, College Enterprises Inc., Midwest Card Services, and Fishback Financial Corp. Mr. Folkerts has been involved in a number of start-up companies including: WiseCare, an internet based servicing company; Special Teams Properties, a property management company, and Regarding Cards, an ID card production company.
